An electric kettle, central heating and a TV set available in the double room. Fine bathrooms with a bath. Central location to other pub for breakfast. Close enough to the centre as well as the square which has hotels and eateries within 100yds.

The new owners were super friendly. They handled a power cut really well, nice. The atmosphere was cozy with candlelit tables and a warm fire. Rooms were comfy n the pub grub was tasty!
The power outages were a nuisance and the flooding was not fun. The breakfast delays were a bit annoying.

Perfect for couples looking for a cozy escape
They arranged a takeout breakfast from the pub nearby when their kitchen had to shut down due to the power cut and it was surprisingly good, much better than I expected.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but given the circumstances, it was still reasonable.

quick access to parks and charming local eateries
I really loved that there were so many nice walking routes nearby, especially the fine Leyburn Old Glebe Nature Reserve which is just under 4 km away, offering lovely views and a peaceful escape, and the local fish and chip shop is only a few steps away for a delicious treat after a long day of exploring.

The Large Double Room was cozy and clean, with a small fridge that had fresh milk and bottled water-such a nice touch! The decor felt historic. The room was a bit tight and I could hear some noise from next door, which wasn't great.

Charming, Charming, Charming
The 16th century charm comes alive in this good inn! I loved having breakfast while watching the racehorses clip-clop by, a unique experience. Plus, the warm hospitality from the owners.

We explored local gems like the charming village pub and indulged in some delicious Yorkshire pudding. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. It's a perfect spot for groups looking to bond and enjoy good food together.
One downside was the noise from the nearby street, which occasionally disturbed our sleep. It would be great if they could work on soundproofing the rooms.
